Pay Our Military Act of 2025

This legislation aims to guarantee that members of the Armed Forces, including reserve components, continue to receive their pay and allowances during any potential government shutdown in fiscal year 2026. It specifically appropriates funds from the Treasury to ensure these payments are made if interim or full-year appropriations are not in effect. Beyond active military personnel, the bill also extends this protection to civilian personnel of the Department of Defense and the Coast Guard, as well as contractors supporting these military members. The Secretary concerned determines which civilian and contractor personnel are providing essential support. These appropriations will remain available until a new, relevant appropriation is enacted into law, or until January 1, 2027, whichever comes first, providing a financial safety net for military families and their support staff during periods of congressional funding impasses.
