Small Business Cybersecurity Assistance Evaluation Act of 2026

This bill requires the Comptroller General to undertake a comprehensive study of Federal cybersecurity assistance for small business concerns. The study will examine existing Federal initiatives, programs, resources, and services designed to help small businesses identify cyber risks, assess preparedness, and plan for mitigation and recovery from cyberattacks, including obtaining capital for these efforts. The evaluation must assess the awareness, use, effectiveness, and coordination of these Federal resources, identifying common cyberattacks and any missing foundational cybersecurity concepts. The Comptroller General is tasked with providing recommendations to improve the overall effectiveness, awareness, and coordination of Federal cybersecurity assistance. A detailed report containing all findings and determinations will be submitted to relevant Congressional committees.
