The Act amends the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act by adding a new section regarding compulsory education and homeschooling laws of States. Under this provision, a dependent child of a servicemember who homeschools and is covered by military orders for a permanent change of station will be considered in compliance with the new state's homeschooling laws if they comply with the laws of either that new state or the servicemember's legal residence state. This aims to align homeschooling treatment with existing protections tied to domicile and legal residence afforded to military families under federal law.
