Maryland Whole Watershed Program Federal Partnership Act of 2026

This legislation establishes a formal advisory role for the Chesapeake Bay Program Office within state-level watershed management initiatives. It mandates that the Office serve as an advisory member of the State Management Team for the Maryland Whole Watershed Program and any other substantially similar programs in other states. In this advisory capacity, the Chesapeake Bay Program Office is authorized to undertake several key activities. These include coordinating with State and local governments and Federal agencies to foster collaborative efforts. Additionally, the Office may provide technical assistance and financial resources to support projects carried out within the Chesapeake Bay watershed, thereby strengthening conservation and restoration efforts.
