This bill mandates the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to implement a three-year pilot program providing hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) to veterans diagnosed with traumatic brain injury or post-traumatic stress disorder . This therapy will be furnished through accredited community care providers within two selected Veterans Integrated Service Networks. A dedicated "VA HBOT Fund" will be established, relying exclusively on donations to cover the costs of the program. Participating medical facilities must be accredited by recognized organizations like the Joint Commission or the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society. The bill also requires the Comptroller General to update a 2015 report on HBOT research for TBI and PTSD, assessing clinical trials conducted by the VA, DoD, and private entities. Finally, it extends the termination date for certain limits on veterans' pension payments from November 30, 2031, to October 30, 2034.
