Saving NASA’s Workforce Act

This bill proposes to implement a temporary halt on certain personnel actions at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. It institutes a reduction in force (RIF) moratorium , preventing NASA from initiating RIFs under specific sections of title 5, United States Code. The moratorium will remain in effect until the date that full-year appropriations for fiscal year 2026 have been officially enacted into law. This provision is intended to safeguard NASA's workforce from involuntary separations during a critical funding period, operating in addition to other existing authorities concerning adverse personnel actions.
