It will also specifically analyze the intersection between wildfire and public health, coordinating with the Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Health and Human Services. Following each review, the Secretaries must submit a report to relevant congressional committees, starting one year after enactment and continuing every four years for two decades. This report will summarize anticipated wildfire challenges over the subsequent 20-year period and propose necessary legislative and administrative actions. Furthermore, it will evaluate progress toward established national cohesive wildland fire management goals and the implementation of recommendations from the Wildland Fire Mitigation and Management Commission, offering projected future scenarios to guide strategic adjustments.
