Quad Space Act

This legislation directs the Secretary of Defense to engage in discussions with Australia, India, and Japan, leveraging the Quad framework, to pinpoint shared interests in the realm of space. The primary objectives of these discussions are to establish best practices in space , foster cooperation on space situational awareness , and align on space industrial policy . Within 180 days of enactment, the Secretary must initiate these talks, and subsequently, within 270 days, submit a comprehensive report to the House and Senate Armed Services Committees. This report will detail the identified areas of mutual interest and outline the Secretary's intended steps to formalize cooperation among the Quad countries in these critical space-related domains.
