Help Hoover Dam Act

This legislation, known as the "Help Hoover Dam Act," amends the existing Boulder Canyon Project Act to grant new authority to the Secretary of the Interior. Specifically, it authorizes the Secretary to expend moneys held within the Colorado River Dam fund . This includes funds, such as those in account XXXR5656P1, that have been or will be recovered on a non-reimbursable basis. The authorized expenditures are designated for a range of activities within the Boulder Canyon Project at Hoover Dam or on land associated with its construction and operation. These activities encompass operations, maintenance, investigation and cleanup actions, and capital improvements . The Secretary is required to consult with Boulder Canyon Project contractors, as identified in the Hoover Power Allocation Act of 2011, when utilizing these funds.
