This legislation mandates that states annually report comprehensive data regarding Medicaid payments made using federal funds to abortion providers. Each state that makes such payments must submit a detailed report to the Secretary of Health and Human Services and simultaneously publish it on a public state internet website within 60 days after the end of each fiscal year. The required reports must specify the amount and purpose of each payment , compare it to payments made in prior fiscal years, and detail the number of abortions performed by the provider during the year, including the gestational age and method used for each. Subsequently, the Secretary is tasked with compiling these state reports, creating a summary, and publishing them on a federal website, in addition to submitting them to relevant congressional committees.
