This bill mandates that states annually report specific information regarding Medicaid payments made from federal funds to abortion providers. Each state that makes such payments must submit a detailed report to the Secretary of Health and Human Services and also publish it on a public internet website within 60 days after the end of each fiscal year. This requirement aims to increase transparency regarding the use of federal Medicaid funds in connection with abortion services. The required report must specify the amount of each payment , its purpose , and a comparison to payments made in prior fiscal years to the same provider. Furthermore, states must include the number of abortions performed by the provider during the fiscal year, the gestational age for each, and the method of abortion used . The Secretary of Health and Human Services is then required to compile these state reports, provide a summary, and submit them to relevant congressional committees, as well as publish them on the Department's website.
