This bill proposes to modify the boundaries of the Talladega National Forest by incorporating additional land as depicted on a specific map dated September 6, 2024. This map will be made available for public inspection at the appropriate Forest Service office. The legislation grants the Secretary of Agriculture the authority to acquire land, waters, and interests therein within these newly defined boundaries. Such acquisitions would utilize existing National Forest System land acquisition authorities, including the "Weeks Law." Any land acquired under this provision would be managed in accordance with the "Weeks Law" and all other applicable laws and regulations governing the National Forest System.
