To modify the boundaries of the Talladega National Forest, and for other purposes.

This bill proposes to expand the Talladega National Forest by modifying its boundaries to incorporate additional land. The specific areas to be added are detailed on a map titled "Talladega National Forest Proposed Proclamation Boundary Addition," which will be made available for public inspection by the Forest Service. The legislation grants the Secretary of Agriculture the authority to acquire land, waters, and interests within these newly designated boundaries. These acquisitions will utilize existing National Forest System authorities, including the "Weeks Law," and any acquired land will be managed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations for the National Forest System. Importantly, any private land or interests acquired must be obtained from a willing seller through donation, exchange, or purchase using appropriate funds, and without undue delay.
