This bill authorizes the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to pay for costs associated with the delivery of automobiles or other conveyances adapted for disabled individuals. It amends section 3902(a) of title 38, United States Code, to explicitly include the total shipping price to deliver the vehicle to an eligible person. Currently, the VA covers the purchase price of these adapted vehicles; this legislation expands that benefit to encompass the logistical expenses of getting the vehicle to the veteran. The intent is to provide more comprehensive support and reduce the financial burden on disabled veterans who require specialized transportation for their mobility needs.
