Water Intelligence, Security, and Cyber Threat Protection Act of 2025

This bill directs the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator to establish a program within one year to enhance the threat preparedness and resilience of drinking water and wastewater systems. The program's core objective is to encourage and support the participation of community water systems and treatment works in the Water Information Sharing and Analysis Center (Water ISAC) . Key provisions include offsetting membership costs for these entities to join or maintain their involvement with the Water ISAC, thereby facilitating broader engagement. The program also seeks to expand cooperation between the EPA and Water ISAC for more effective incident data collection and analysis of water sector threats, while enhancing Water ISAC's tools and resources to improve monitoring and bolster preparedness against malevolent acts or natural hazards . To support these efforts, $10,000,000 is authorized for appropriation for each of fiscal years 2026 and 2027.
