Summary

This bill amends the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park Establishment Act to significantly expand the park's boundary in Vermont. The expanded boundaries, depicted on a new map, will now include the King Farm , which will be divided into historic and protection zones as determined by the Secretary. The Secretary is authorized to acquire land within these new boundaries, including the King Farm, through methods such as donation, purchase from willing sellers, or exchange. Once acquired, the King Farm may be used for agricultural and forestry purposes , conservation that preserves its historic character, and educational activities related to agriculture, forestry, and natural history. Furthermore, the bill establishes the National Park Service Stewardship Institute within the park. This Institute aims to advance stewardship practices through workshops and programs, foster innovation within the National Park Service, and enhance leadership and community engagement in conservation and resource stewardship.
