This bill amends the Federal Lands Recreation Enhancement Act to establish specific, mandatory fee-free days for entry to federal recreational lands and waters. It requires the Secretary to provide free admission on six designated holidays and special days each year, moving from a discretionary provision to a firm requirement. The mandated fee-free days include Martin Luther King, Jr.'s Birthday , the first day of National Park Week , Juneteenth National Independence Day , Great American Outdoors Day , National Public Lands Day , and Veterans Day . Congress intends for these days to encourage public access, community service, and national pride, while the Secretary retains authority to designate additional fee-free days.
