Encouraging Public Service in Our National Parks and Public Land Act

This bill amends the Federal Lands Recreation Enhancement Act to establish specific, mandatory fee-free days for entry to federal recreational lands and waters. It requires the Secretary to provide free admission on six designated holidays and special days each year, moving from a discretionary provision to a firm requirement.

The mandated fee-free days include Martin Luther King, Jr.'s Birthday, the first day of National Park Week, Juneteenth National Independence Day, Great American Outdoors Day, National Public Lands Day, and Veterans Day. Congress intends for these days to encourage public access, community service, and national pride, while the Secretary retains authority to designate additional fee-free days.
