Know Your Labor Rights Act

This bill, known as the "Know Your Labor Rights Act," aims to amend the National Labor Relations Act by requiring employers to inform their employees about their labor rights. It mandates that the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) promulgate regulations for employers to post notices, both physically and electronically, detailing the rights and protections afforded to employees under the Act.

The NLRB would also be responsible for making the form and text of this notice readily available to the public and employers at no cost on its website. Furthermore, employers would be required to notify each new employee of the information contained in these notices. Non-compliance with these posting and notification requirements would result in the NLRB issuing an order to comply and imposing a civil penalty not exceeding $500 for each violation.
