Staff Salary Schedule Improvement Act

This bill, known as the Staff Salary Schedule Improvement Act, seeks to update the process for paying salaries to employees in or under the House of Representatives. It specifically authorizes the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) to disburse salaries twice per month, departing from the current standard payment schedule. Implementation of this bi-monthly payment option is conditional upon two key factors. First, the House of Representatives must upgrade its existing payroll system to support the new frequency. Second, the CAO must receive a specific direction from the Committee on House Administration to enact this change, which also allows the Committee to set other payment schedules by regulation.
