Grasslands Grazing Act of 2025

This bill seeks to ensure that ranchers holding grazing agreements on national grasslands receive the same treatment as permittees on other federal lands. It achieves this by amending Section 402(a) of the Federal Land Policy and Management Act of 1976 (FLPMA). Specifically, the amendment replaces the phrase "lands within National Forests" with "National Forest System land," thereby extending FLPMA's provisions regarding grazing leases and permits to national grasslands. This change aims to standardize the regulatory framework for grazing activities across these federal land categories. The bill clarifies that this amendment does not alter the applicability of other FLPMA provisions, the Bankhead-Jones Farm Tenant Act, or the Public Rangelands Improvement Act of 1978.
