Responsible Wildland Fire Recovery Act

This legislation, known as the Responsible Wildland Fire Recovery Act, seeks to guarantee that parties impacted by specific wildland fires receive complete federal funding for remediation efforts. A "covered matching requirement" refers to any program demanding matching funds from a State, Indian Tribe, locality, or individual for wildland fire recovery. This waiver applies to projects responding to a "covered wildland fire," which includes wildfires, prescribed fires, and any resulting watershed impairment.
