Beyond research, the legislation establishes a comprehensive public education program to raise awareness about uterine fibroids, including their incidence, prevalence, and the elevated risk for minority individuals . This program will also disseminate information on the full range of medically appropriate treatment options, specifically highlighting non-hysterectomy treatments and procedures .
