HOME Act of 2025

This bill aims to enhance support for veterans in homeownership by directing the Department of Veterans Affairs to coordinate with nonprofit financial service organizations and veteran advocacy groups, offering voluntary financial counseling to veterans using VA-guaranteed home loans. It also mandates the creation of a database of adapted housing for sale, specifically for disabled veterans, which will list residences modified for their needs and whose sellers elect to include them. Finally, the legislation requires the Secretary to conduct outreach to veterans residing in United States Territories to inform them about their eligibility for housing benefits, ensuring comprehensive support and access to resources for all eligible veterans.
