This legislation amends the John D. Dingell, Jr. Conservation, Management, and Recreation Act to establish the Cerro de la Olla Wilderness , encompassing approximately 12,295 acres of Federal land administered by the Bureau of Land Management in Taos County, New Mexico. This new wilderness area is designated within the existing Rio Grande del Norte National Monument, as generally depicted on a specified map. The bill also modifies the boundary of the Rio Grande del Norte National Monument according to the same designated map. Furthermore, it allows for the maintenance of existing structures for wildlife water development projects , such as guzzlers, within the Cerro de la Olla Wilderness, provided they enhance wilderness values and their visual impact can be reasonably minimized. The Secretary is required to enter into a cooperative agreement with the State of New Mexico within one year to outline terms for wildlife management activities in this new wilderness area.
