Summary

This legislation officially redesignates the existing Salem Maritime National Historic Site as the Salem Maritime National Historical Park . This change ensures that all legal and official references to the site will reflect its new designation as a National Historical Park. Furthermore, the Act directs the Secretary of the Interior to conduct a comprehensive boundary study . This study will assess the suitability and feasibility of incorporating additional sites and resources within Salem, Massachusetts, and its vicinity into the newly expanded park.
