SHOPP Act of 2025

The "Supporting all Healthy Options when Purchasing Produce Act of 2025," or SHOPP Act, aims to strengthen the Gus Schumacher Nutrition Incentive Program. This legislation modifies the Food, Conservation, and Energy Act of 2008 to broaden the scope of nutritious foods covered by the program's incentives. Specifically, the bill expands eligibility to include fresh frozen fruits or vegetables , ensuring that families have year-round access to these healthy options. It also adds legumes to the list of eligible produce, alongside fresh and fresh frozen fruits and vegetables, thereby increasing the variety of healthy foods that can be purchased with program incentives.
