Laws Ensuring Safe Shrimp Act or the LESS Act This bill establishes the Inspection and Consumption of Shrimp and Shrimp Products Fund. The fund consists of duties that are collected on shrimp and shrimp products that are imported into the United States. The fund must be used to support (1) the ability of the Food and Drug Administration to inspect imported shrimp and shrimp products in accordance with certain health and safety standards, including with respect to antibiotic contaminations and fair labor standards; and (2) the Department of Agriculture in encouraging the domestic consumption of shrimp.
