It urges the people of the United States and interested groups to commemorate the lives of missing and murdered American Indian, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian women, both documented and undocumented. The resolution also calls for demonstrating solidarity with the families of victims in light of these tragedies. Furthermore, the resolution recommends that the Department of Justice's National Institute of Justice commission a new study to provide up-to-date statistics on the crisis, as the previous study was published nine years ago. It acknowledges that despite positive efforts made to date, significant work remains to be done to address this nationwide crisis effectively.
