Increasing Access to Quality Cardiac Rehabilitation Care Act of 2025

This bill aims to expand and expedite access to cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation programs for Medicare beneficiaries by broadening the types of healthcare professionals who can prescribe and supervise these essential services. It amends the Social Security Act to specifically allow physician assistants , nurse practitioners , and clinical nurse specialists to perform these functions, alongside physicians. Additionally, for cardiac rehabilitation programs, the legislation expands the permissible locations for service delivery from "a physician's office" to a more general "the office setting." These changes are intended to enhance patient access and streamline care, with the provisions becoming effective six months after the bill's enactment.
