This bill directs the Secretary of Defense to undertake a thorough drone posture review . This comprehensive assessment will cover all types of uncrewed vehicles, including aerial, ground, surface, and undersea systems, along with their enabling technologies. The review's primary objectives are to identify critical capability gaps within United States forces and pinpoint vulnerabilities that U.S. forces may have against foreign uncrewed systems. Following the completion of this review, the Secretary of Defense is required to submit a detailed report of its findings to the congressional defense committees no later than March 1, 2027.
