Space Superiority Readiness Act of 2026

This legislation seeks to significantly enhance the United States' space control and space superiority readiness , recognizing the space domain's critical role in deterrence and warfighting, especially concerning potential conflict with the People's Republic of China. To achieve this, the bill directs the Secretary of Defense to expand the Space Force's capacity for wargaming, modeling, and simulation of peer conflict scenarios in space. It also mandates the development of specialized training programs for space operators, focusing on tactics, techniques, and procedures essential for effective space control operations. Furthermore, the Act requires the Secretary of Defense to submit a report to Congress within 180 days on Chinese commercial space capabilities and their potential military applications, to be provided in an unclassified form.
