No Cash for Cohabitating Kins of Crooks Act

This bill aims to prevent individuals and entities associated with federal contractors terminated for fraud or criminal conviction from receiving new federal funds or contracts. It establishes a category of "covered persons" who are ineligible to participate in Federal programs. A covered person is defined as an individual or entity that owns, resides with, or is the spouse of an owner of a "terminated provider," which refers to a former federal contractor whose agreement was ended due to fraud or a criminal conviction. These covered persons would be broadly prohibited from entering into contracts, receiving grants, loans, subawards, or any other financial transactions with the Federal Government. An important exception is made for spouses who are living apart from the owner of a terminated provider due to domestic abuse or spousal abandonment, ensuring they are not unfairly penalized.
