Stop Superbugs Act

This legislation mandates that the Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) award a competitive grant to the Antibiotic Resistance Leadership Group (ARLG). The grant's primary purpose is to establish and facilitate a clinical research network specifically dedicated to combating antibiotic resistance . This network will focus on several critical areas, including supporting rapid recruitment of clinical trial participants through community outreach. It will also work to pair diagnostic and pharmaceutical innovations during clinical trials and develop patient-reported outcomes in clinical studies. The bill authorizes the appropriation of necessary funds to the NIAID Director to carry out these important initiatives.
