Make SWAPs Efficient Act of 2026

The bill further directs the Secretary, in consultation with States, to develop a clear process for timely review and final approval within the 180-day period, reflecting Congress's intent to prioritize these actions. To ensure accountability, if a State's wildlife conservation program is not approved within the specified timeframe, the Secretary must submit a detailed report to relevant Congressional committees by June 1 of the following year, explaining the delay and the plan's status.
