Display America's Art Act

The Display America's Art Act establishes the Congressional Art Loan Program , enabling Members of Congress to display works of art in their personal and leadership offices. This program specifically targets art owned by eligible institutions , such as the Smithsonian Institution and the National Gallery of Art, that is currently held in storage and not accessible to the public. Under this program, the Architect of the Capitol, in collaboration with these institutions, will administer the loan process. Art pieces will be made available for display only if both the Architect and the lending institution deem them appropriate and available for such placement, thereby bringing previously unseen federal art into public view within congressional offices.
