Protecting Our Kids from Harmful Research Act

This legislation aims to prohibit the use of federal funds for any research or publications concerning gender transition in individuals under the age of 18. This prohibition specifically includes observational studies that gather evidence on hormonal treatments or surgical procedures performed on minors.

Federal funds would be withheld if the research aims to affirm a minor's perception of their sex or asserted identity when either is incongruent with their sex. For the purposes of this legislation, sex is explicitly defined based solely on a person's reproductive biology and genetics at birth.
