These TSPoCs, who are existing TSA passenger support specialists, will receive specialized training in human trafficking, trauma-informed care, and post-traumatic stress disorder. The duties of a TSPoC include liaising with **service providers**—nonprofit organizations assisting trafficking victims—and helping survivors navigate airport security and travel procedures through the **TSA Cares program**. They will also assist service providers in submitting formal requests for travel assistance. TSA is required to publish and maintain online information about the TSA Cares program and the services provided by TSPoCs. To be eligible for assistance, service providers must register with TSA Cares, confirm they are actively assisting a survivor, and ensure arrangements for a responsible party at the destination airport. TSPoCs will provide information on identity verification processes, act as liaisons during vetting, and ensure survivors are treated in a trauma-informed manner. For verified survivors, TSPoCs will arrange for accompaniment through security and to the departure gate, and a TSPoC at the destination will meet the survivor upon arrival. Additionally, the bill **waives any fees** associated with identity verification procedures for eligible survivors.
