The established requirements must prioritize unit common architectures to ensure interoperability of detection, tracking, and kinetic interception across disparate brigade combat team elements. This capability will integrate passive and active sensors for persistent threat detection, autonomous kinetic effects requiring minimal operator intervention, and mesh networking for seamless sensor-to-shooter handoffs between multiple ground platforms. Additionally, the Secretary is required to submit a report to the congressional defense committees. This report must detail the identified hardware and software components and provide an implementation timeline for the fiscal years 2028-2032 Future Years Defense Program.
