Expanded Consular Fellows Act of 2026

This legislation proposes to significantly alter the duration of limited non-career appointments for Department of State personnel engaged in consular services. Currently capped at five years, this bill would authorize the Secretary of State to extend these appointments to eight years for consular staff.
