Prohibiting Political Prosecutions Act of 2026

This bill seeks to prevent political considerations from influencing federal investigations and prosecutions. It explicitly prohibits government attorneys and investigators from considering a person's political or policy associations, activities, or beliefs when determining whether to commence or recommend prosecution or investigation. Furthermore, it forbids initiating such actions to influence or change a person's political views. To enforce this, criminal complaints, indictments, and warrants must include an attestation from relevant officials confirming that political considerations were not a factor and that sufficient evidence exists to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
