Middle Mile for Rural America Act

This bill aims to continue the expansion of critical middle mile infrastructure into underserved rural areas across the United States. It achieves this by amending the existing Rural Electrification Act of 1936, which governs such initiatives. Specifically, the legislation reauthorizes the program by updating the period for which funds are allocated. The previous authorization, covering 2018 through 2023, is replaced with a new timeframe from 2026 through 2031 , ensuring continued support for rural broadband development.
