Protecting Students with Disabilities Act

This bill, titled the "Protecting Students with Disabilities Act," aims to safeguard the integrity and operation of offices within the Department of Education that serve individuals with disabilities. It explicitly prohibits the use of appropriated funds to eliminate, consolidate, or otherwise restructure any such office, including those responsible for programs under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. Furthermore, the bill prevents the Department from terminating, reassigning, or altering the responsibilities of personnel in these offices if doing so would impede the fulfillment of statutory obligations.
