Restoring Essential Healthcare Act

This bill repeals Section 71113 of Public Law 119-21, which had previously prohibited the Medicaid program from making payments to certain entities. By eliminating this prohibition, the bill aims to allow these entities to once again receive federal funding for services provided under Medicaid.

Additionally, the legislation includes a critical provision for retroactive payments. It mandates that payments for medical assistance furnished by these previously prohibited entities, from the date Public Law 119-21 was enacted until this new bill's enactment, shall be processed as if the original prohibition had never been in effect, ensuring financial compensation for past services.
