Veterans’ Compensation Cost-of-Living Adjustment Act of 2025

This legislation, titled the Veterans' Compensation Cost-of-Living Adjustment Act of 2025, aims to increase the rates of compensation for veterans with service-connected disabilities and for the survivors of certain disabled veterans. The adjustments are set to take effect on December 1, 2025 , ensuring that these beneficiaries receive updated financial support. The bill specifically targets various dollar amounts related to disability compensation and Dependency and Indemnity Compensation (DIC). The increase in these compensation rates will be determined by the same percentage as the cost-of-living adjustment applied to Social Security benefits, effective December 1, 2025. This includes adjustments to wartime disability compensation, additional compensation for dependents, clothing allowances, and DIC for both surviving spouses and children. The Secretary of Veterans Affairs is also authorized to administratively adjust other related disability compensation rates and must publish the new, increased amounts in the Federal Register.
