The "No Place for LGBTQ+ Hate Act" seeks to repeal several executive orders specifically identified as targeting LGBTQI+ individuals , declaring them to have no force or effect. This legislation also prohibits the use of any federal funds to implement, administer, enforce, or carry out these repealed orders or any related successor orders that similarly limit LGBTQI+ rights. The executive orders targeted for repeal include those mandating discrimination against transgender, nonbinary, intersex, and gender-nonconforming individuals, as well as those reinstating a military ban on transgender servicemembers. Additionally, the bill aims to revoke orders that direct agencies to prevent transgender healthcare for adolescents under 19, prohibit transgender female students from participating in school sports aligning with their gender identity, and require schools to deny the existence of transgender people. By eliminating these policies, the Act intends to restore and protect the rights and appropriate federal identity markers for LGBTQI+ individuals.
