Town of North Topsail Beach Coastal Barrier Resources System Map Amendment Act of 2025

This bill directs the Secretary of the Interior to amend the boundaries of a specific unit within the John H. Chafee Coastal Barrier Resources System (CBRS). Specifically, within 30 days of enactment, the Secretary must correct the map for Unit L06 of the CBRS to exclude parcels located in North Topsail Beach, North Carolina. These excluded parcels are those designated by local zoning ordinances for purposes other than conservation as of the bill's enactment date. This amendment applies exclusively to areas of Unit L06 situated within the municipality of North Topsail Beach, ensuring that these specific properties are no longer subject to CBRS restrictions. The bill considers these parcels as meeting the criteria for removal from the system, thereby adjusting their designation on the official CBRS map dated November 25, 2024.
