INFORM Act of 2025

The "INFORM Act of 2025" seeks to enhance transparency by requiring the United States Postal Service (USPS) to provide public notification for significant changes affecting nationwide postal services. Under this bill, when the USPS determines there will be a change in the nature of postal services with nationwide impact, it must first submit a proposed change to the Postal Regulatory Commission for an advisory opinion. Simultaneously, on the same day the proposal is sent to the Commission, the USPS is mandated to post a comprehensive notice of the change within affected storefront postal facilities . This notice must remain publicly displayed for at least 30 days after the change has gone into effect, ensuring ongoing public awareness. The required notice content includes relevant details, associated timelines, anticipated impacts on services, and information on public meetings or opportunities for public comment, along with contact information.
