Biotechnology Diplomacy Leadership Act of 2026

Key responsibilities also include representing the Department of State in international biotechnology forums and overseeing the implementation of U.S. commitments. These commitments encompass securing biotechnology supply chains, advancing commercial and regulatory diplomacy, facilitating data-sharing agreements, promoting joint research and development, and supporting capacity-building in partner nations. Regular reports on international biotechnology diplomacy efforts will be provided to the Secretary of State.
