Improving CTU Act of 2026

This bill aims to amend the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act of 1959, significantly enhancing financial transparency for labor organizations. It mandates that unions include the results of any financial audits of their finances or transactions, to which they have access, within their regular financial reports. Additionally, the legislation specifies how these comprehensive reports, now inclusive of audit results, must be made available to union members. Labor organizations will be required to publish this information on their website , or, if a website is unavailable, provide a physical or electronic copy upon a member's request. These new provisions will apply to all reports submitted six months after the bill's enactment.
