Broadband Infrastructure Extension Act

This bill aims to provide states and localities with additional time to utilize federal funding for critical broadband infrastructure projects. It specifically amends Title VI of the Social Security Act to extend the expenditure deadlines for funds allocated under various recovery and capital programs. For projects related to broadband infrastructure, the bill extends the deadline for funds from both the State Fiscal Recovery Fund and the Local Fiscal Recovery Fund until September 30, 2027. Furthermore, it allows funds from the Capital Projects Fund designated for broadband infrastructure to be expended until January 1, 2028, ensuring these vital projects can be completed to enhance internet access across the nation.
